We booked Turim Alameda thinking it was the hotel we normally stay in when we're in Lisbon, but what a fabulous mistake we made! For a 4 star hotel it really was super good value for money! And even better than the other one we stay at. Upon arrival, the hotel was really clean and modern, staff were friendly and welcoming (we had a lovely chat with them actually), the rooms were luxurious and the bed was soooo comfortable! We used the bar a couple of times for a night cap and there was a nice range of local and well-known brands of beer, wine and spirits. Maceira is a lovely Portuguese brandy! Turim Alameda is in an accessible area of town too, you're only a short walk away from Saldanha or Alameda where there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants, both areas also have metro stations that go directly to and from the airport as well as the more touristy areas of the city.

I liked that the reception would anyways greet you every time you would leave or come back. I also liked how the lobby was very clean and often when purists it was hot as soon as you would enter the hotel it would feel very cool and cold. We were a family of 6 so we had 3 twin rooms - two single beds each. The rooms were very close to each other which was good. The air conditioning was good and the windows were very wide so it could open very far. The view was also nice and the beds were often comfortable. The hotel was very close to a lot of shops and the city so that was very reliable and convenient. It was also close to a lot of little local shops if needing to get something.

It's the same as any hotel room you can find the world over, but it's a clean, comfortable room with a good, comfortable bed. Everything worked, aircon, fridge, kettle, safe. Friendly helpful staff. It's everything you need. The location is great too, turn left out of the front door and before long you reach cafes, restaurants, shops and a metro stop. Actually, we would recommend using the Saldanha stop on the metro red line in preference to Alameda as it will save you walking up a steep hill.

It's really close to the subway (Alameda), meaning you can easily go anywhere easily. The room is clean and they did change sheets despite me staying for two nights only. There's an electric kettle, so you can make tea or coffee (though it seems it's not often used so the boiled water has a weird taste). It is soundproof, though you can sometimes hear a bit of noise coming from other rooms (mostly the bathroom shower, I suppose). Overall, it is a quiet hotel.

We found the rooms a really good size and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. We were on the 4th floor & couldn't hear the traffic at all which was great for us. The hotel itself was really clean and the staff were so kind and helpful. The location is also really good and close to the metro station. The hotel also have a good range of toiletries available and we were so relieved they had spare toothbrushes as we realised we had forgotten ours!
